Holy Cross Falls Short Against Bethel (IN), 74–65

November 4, 2025 — Gates Gymnasium

The Holy Cross men's basketball team battled hard on the road Tuesday night but came up short in a 74–65 loss to Bethel (IN). Despite a strong effort inside and several standout performances, the Saints couldn't overcome a cold stretch from the perimeter in the second half.

Holy Cross opened the game with energy on both ends of the floor, holding a brief four-point lead midway through the first half. The Saints trailed just 35–28 at halftime but stayed within striking distance until the final minutes. A late Bethel run extended the margin, sealing the nine-point decision.

Team Performance

The Saints shot 37.9% from the field and went 8-for-10 (80%) from the free-throw line. Holy Cross dominated in the paint with 40 points inside, while also pulling down 43 rebounds, including 12 on the offensive glass that led to 16 second-chance points.

However, cold shooting from beyond the arc (3-of-13, 23%) and 12 turnovers limited the comeback effort.

Individual Highlights

  • AJ Roseman led Holy Cross with 19 points on 7-of-16 shooting, adding 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals in 40 minutes of action.

  • Jayden Sanders provided a strong inside presence with 15 points and a team-high 8 rebounds.

  • Donovan Waleskowski matched Sanders with 15 points on an efficient 6-of-11 from the floor, along with 5 rebounds and a block.
