The Saints took a slim 42–40 advantage into halftime before pulling away in the second half, outscoring the RedHawks 41–31. Holy Cross shot an efficient 58.6% from the field after the break and controlled the paint throughout the contest, finishing with a 46–32 edge in points in the paint.

Holy Cross' depth also played a key role, as the bench contributed 17 points and provided energy on both ends of the floor. Defensively, the Saints forced 14 Indiana Northwest turnovers and converted them into 21 points.

Holy Cross limited the RedHawks to 40.7% shooting in the second half to secure the road win.
