Sanders Reaches 1,000 Career Points as Saints Defeat Judson, 90–79

The Holy Cross men's basketball team picked up a 90–79 victory over Judson (IL) on Wednesday night at the Lindner Fitness Center, highlighted by a milestone performance from Jayden Sanders.

Sanders surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his collegiate career during the game, finishing with 18 points off the bench to lead a balanced Saints attack. Joey Garwood poured in a team-high 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting, while Donovan Waleskowski added 26 points and 6 rebounds as Holy Cross shot 59.3 percent from the field for the game.

The contest was tightly contested early, with Judson holding a brief first-half lead before the Saints closed the period strong to take a 43–42 advantage into halftime. Holy Cross gained separation in the second half behind efficient shooting and strong ball movement, outscoring Judson 47–37 over the final 20 minutes.

The Saints finished with 22 assists on 35 made field goals and received 33 points from the bench, helping secure the conference win.

With the victory, Holy Cross improves to 9–12 overall and 4–9 in conference play. The Saints will be back in action on Saturday, January 31, hosting their next matchup at home with tipoff set for 3:00 PM.
