Jayden Sanders Honored for Joining 1,000-Point Club
A major milestone was reached on January 28 as Jayden Sanders eclipsed the 1,000-career-point mark in a road matchup at Judson University, solidifying his place among the most dependable scorers of his collegiate era.
The 6-foot-3 forward from Evansville, Indiana has built his reputation on efficiency, toughness, and steady production. Sanders began his collegiate career at Ancilla College, where he spent two seasons developing into a reliable offensive presence and establishing the foundation for what would become a standout career.
Through 78 career games and 73 starts, Sanders has totaled more than 1,070 points while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field — a testament to both his shot selection and ability to finish through contact. His growth has been especially evident this season, as he is averaging 18 points per game while converting over 78 percent of his free throw attempts.
Whether attacking the rim, stepping into open shots, or delivering in key moments, Sanders has consistently provided a spark for his team. His versatility and physical style of play make him difficult for opponents to contain, while his experience brings an added level of leadership on the floor.
In recognition of this achievement, Sanders was presented with the commemorative 1,000-point game ball — a symbol of the dedication, discipline, and countless hours that helped him reach this elite milestone.
Crossing the 1,000-point threshold is a benchmark few student-athletes achieve, and Sanders' accomplishment reflects not only his scoring ability but also his commitment to growth throughout his collegiate journey. As his career continues, his impact on the program is already firmly established.
