CCAC Releases Men's Golf Awards

Chicago, Ill. The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference recently announced their 2023 Men's Golf All-Conference awards. Holy Cross College's Matthew Politte and Carter Silva received All-Conference recognition.

Silva, from Escondido, California, was named CCAC First Team All-Conference. This is his second consecutive all-conference honor. Through eight tournaments this season, the senior carried a 75.7 stroke average. He had six top-15 finishes and placed 3rd individually in the CCAC Championship.

Politte, originally from St. Louis, Missouri, was awarded CCAC First Team All-Conference. He held a 77.2 stroke average in his seven tournament appearances. The freshman won the CCAC Conference Championship, after a two-hole playoff, and earned a trip to the 2023 NAIA Men's Golf National Tournament. Politte will represent Holy Cross College, as an individual, on May 16-19 at the Las Sendas Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona.

The Holy Cross College Saints compete in eight intercollegiate sports for men and women. Holy Cross has produced 205 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team honors and 108 All-Conference members, and five NAIA All-Americans.
