Politte's Season Ends at National Championship

Mesa, Arizona Matthew Politte represented the Holy Cross College men's golf team at the 2023 NAIA National Men's Golf Championships. Politte competed as an individual, earning an automatic bid, after winning the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship on April 25.

The National Tournament was held at the Las Sendas Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona. Twenty-nine teams and 155 individuals competed at the National Championships.

After the first round was delayed due to weather, Politte carded a 93 and 76 in his two rounds. The freshman recorded a 169 for the rounds and did not make the cut.

The Holy Cross College Saints compete in eight intercollegiate sports for men and women. Holy Cross has produced 205 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team honors and 108 All-Conference members, and five NAIA All-Americans.
