The Holy Cross men's tennis team secured a thrilling 4-3 victory over Indiana University Indianapolis on Sunday evening, clinching the match with strong doubles play and key singles performances.

Holy Cross jumped out to an early 1-0 lead by capturing the doubles point. The No. 1 pair of Matthew Jezyk and Luca McManus battled to a 7(7)-6(5) win, while Naithaolin Golmei and Thomas Friesen controlled their No. 2 match with a 6-3 victory.

In singles action, the Saints split the six courts, but clutch performances made the difference. Oscar Wai earned an impressive win at No. 1 singles, outlasting Owen Nguyen in straight sets, 7(7)-6(4), 6-1. Thomas Friesen delivered a gritty three-set victory at No. 4 singles, bouncing back after dropping the first set to win 4-6, 7(12)-6(10), 7(7)-6(5). Golmei also came through in three sets at No. 5, rallying for a 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 win to secure another crucial point.

Indiana University Indianapolis claimed wins at No. 2, No. 3, and No. 6 singles, but Holy Cross' early doubles advantage proved to be the deciding factor in the tightly contested 4-3 victory.

With the win, the Saints demonstrated resilience and depth across the lineup in a hard-fought match that came down to the final courts.
