Savvidou and Carvalho-Landell Named NAIA All-Americans

Kansas City, MO. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) recently announced their 2024 Women's Tennis All-American awards. Holy Cross College's Victoria Savvidou and Kia Carvalho-Landell earned All-American honors.

Victoria Savvidou was awarded Third-Team NAIA All-American. This is the sophomore's second-consecutive All-American distinction. Savvidou was also named Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Year. She went 10-4 in her No. 1 singles match, while also going 10-3 in doubles play on the year.

Kia Carvalho-Landell was also named Third-Team NAIA All-American. Carvalho-Landell went 5-1 in her singles matches, competing most of the year in the No. 3 position. She went 8-2 in her doubles matches.

Behind Savvidou and Carvalho-Landell, women's tennis finished with a 10-3 overall record. The Saints captured their second consecutive CCAC Tournament Championship. Women's tennis fell in the opening round to Dillard University in the NAIA National Championships.

The Holy Cross College Saints compete in eight intercollegiate sports for men and women.
