Saints Women’s Tennis Shines with Three Players Ranked in Latest ITA National and Regional Lists

November 13 — Notre Dame, Ind. — The Holy Cross College women's tennis program continues its upward climb, earning major national and regional recognition in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings. Three Saints earned spots among the nation's best, marking a standout moment for the program.

National Rankings consist of the top 50 singles rankings and the top 25 doubles rankings. Regional Rankings consist of the Top 20 singles rankings and the top 10 doubles rankings. Regional Rankings represent the Central, East, South, and West Regions.

Leading the charge is Viktoria, who secured an impressive No. 11 national singles ranking. Her dominant fall season also earned her the No. 3 spot in the ITA Midwest Regional Rankings, placing her firmly among the elite competitors in the country and the region.

Joining her in the national spotlight is Leah Gonzales-Edwards, ranked No. 22 nationally and No. 6 regionally. Leah's consistency and competitive edge have been key contributors to the Saints' continued success, and her rankings reflect her strong presence on the court.

Rounding out the trio is Nicole Martinez, who captured the No. 33 national singles ranking along with a No. 11 regional ranking. Martinez's performance across the fall season showcased her growth and readiness to compete at the highest level.

With three players ranked inside the ITA's national top ranks and each positioned strongly within the Midwest region, the Holy Cross women's tennis team has solidified itself as a rising force both regionally and nationally.

The Saints now look ahead to the spring season with momentum, confidence, and a roster built to compete with the best in the NAIA and beyond.
